River Manor with its National Monument status comprises two historical houses set in the picturesque Oak-lined “Avenue”. The guest house is a mere two minute stroll from Stellenbosch town centre with its museums, street cafes, restaurants and galleries. The 16 spacious en-suite rooms are furnished in a ‘Colonial Charm with a touch of Africa’ theme. They are stylishly decorated with antiques and combine old world charm with modern conveniences. All rooms have en suite bathrooms furnished with victorian style claw baths and most have with a separate shower unit.

You can enjoy pool side breakfasts before setting out to explore Stellenbosch and the surrounding Cape Winelands. The property has 2 good size swimming pools and lots of cosy seating areas to sit and relax or read a book. An honour bar system operates in the lounge.

There are also many exciting activities which can be organised locally such as a round of golf at the Stellenbosch Golf Club, horse riding, hiking trails, wine tasting tours, trout fishing and helicopter trips. Staff are on hand to assist with booking excursions and restaurants in nearby Stellenbosch or Franschhoek.

For guests wanting to indulge in true luxury and pampering, there is a Health and Beauty Spa set within the gardens. The Spa is professionally run by a team of therapists offering a range of health, beauty and relaxation treatments.
